ACT BEAUTY is accelerating its global growth strategy by expanding its full-service capabilities across makeup and skincare. Following its acquisition of LAVAY in 2024, the French group is bringing formulation, sourcing, accessories, packaging, quality management and regulatory expertise together under an integrated service model. The company will showcase its expanding beauty offering at MakeUp in New York on September 16–17, 2026.

ACT BEAUTY is preparing to make its first appearance at MakeUp in New York on September 16–17, 2026, just six months after participating in MakeUp in Los Angeles for the first time. Represented in the U.S. by Sharon Prestowitz, the French group will present its premium retail and promotional packaging solutions, cosmetic accessories and the capabilities of its Cosmetics Business Unit.

The participation marks another step in ACT BEAUTY’s ambition to strengthen its position in the global beauty market. Following the acquisition of LAVAY in 2024, the group has been expanding beyond the premium packaging, accessories and lifestyle products for which it is known, with the aim of becoming a global partner capable of supporting beauty brands throughout the entire product development process.

An Integrated Approach to Beauty Product Development

Under the vision of founder Cyril Dauvers, ACT BEAUTY is structuring a full-service makeup and skincare offering that combines formulation, sourcing, accessories, packaging, quality management and regulatory oversight.

At the heart of this strategy is the belief that a cosmetic product cannot be considered independently from the way it is used, applied, industrialized and ultimately presented in the retail environment.

The acquisition of LAVAY supports this approach by bringing established expertise in makeup and skincare product development into the group, alongside a longstanding network of industrial partners and extensive knowledge of regulatory, manufacturing and go-to-market requirements.

Cosmetic product development has become an increasingly specialized field. From formulation and formula-packaging compatibility to sourcing, industrialization and compliance with an increasingly complex regulatory environment, brands need access to a broad range of technical expertise. Building all these capabilities internally can be challenging, particularly when cosmetic development is not a company’s core area of expertise.

From Concept to Market Launch

ACT BEAUTY’s Cosmetics Business Unit is led by Amélie Jumel, an Industrial Biology Engineer with 15 years of international experience in cosmetic product development, regulatory affairs and industrial coordination.

The unit manages every stage of the development process, from the initial concept through to market launch. Within this structure, ACT BEAUTY positions itself as an “outsourced product manager,” selecting suitable partners, incorporating technical and regulatory requirements from the earliest stages and managing development risks throughout the process.

This model is designed to enable beauty brands to concentrate on their identity, brand universe and distribution strategy while ACT BEAUTY manages the technical and industrial dimensions of product development.

Specialized Partner Network Supports Flexible Production

Rather than operating its own manufacturing facilities, ACT BEAUTY works with a carefully selected network of specialized industrial partners. Partners are chosen according to the requirements of each project and the formulation involved, whether hybrid makeup, innovative and multisensory textures, lip products or skincare formulas.

Management remains centralized within ACT BEAUTY, with multidisciplinary teams covering areas including sourcing, quality, design and logistics. The structure is designed to provide oversight throughout the development process and through to the finished product.

According to the company, this model provides greater agility while giving brands access to specialized expertise and maintaining high standards across quality, regulatory compliance and industrial execution.

ACT BEAUTY Targets a Stronger Position in the Global Beauty Market

As beauty brands seek to shorten development timelines and work with fewer external stakeholders, ACT BEAUTY aims to bridge the gap between product vision, industrial execution and retail requirements through its integrated service model.

The group’s sustainability credentials also form part of this positioning. ACT BEAUTY has received the EcoVadis Platinum medal with a score of 99 percent for the fourth consecutive time.

With its expanded makeup and skincare capabilities, the company is now seeking to reinforce its global beauty vision and strengthen its role as an end-to-end development partner for brands.

ACT BEAUTY will present its latest capabilities at MakeUp in New York on September 16–17, 2026, at Booth B15.
